Against Property Squad reports the details of an arrest for Offering a False
Instrument that occurred in Westbury.
detectives, the defendant Meredith Dulberg, 36, of 27 Conklin Street, Apt A,
Farmingdale, appeared in Nassau County Small Claims Court as an attorney at-law
representing the Tempelton Group - 1025 Old Country Road, Westbury and filed
with the courts forms containing false information. The defendant was never registered or
admitted to the New York State Bar. The
defendant surrendered to detectives on July 22, 2014.
Tempelton Group had fraudulently led hundreds of victims throughout the United
States to believe that they had a lawyer inside their firm and thereby were
allowed to collect upfront fees for loan modifications. Victims were people who needed help with
their mortgages because their homes were worth less than the outstanding
balance or because interest rates and monthly payments were unaffordable.

Defendant Dulberg is being charged with 2 counts of
Offering a False Instrument and Practicing/Appearing as an Attorney. She will be arraigned on July 22, 2014 at
First District Court, Hempstead.
