Stoppers is announcing the implementation of a new
program that will pay up to $2,000 for
information that will prevent a crime.
The Nassau County Police Crime Stoppers Unit is implementing
a program that will afford the public the opportunity
to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline, 1-800-244-TIPS
(8477), and earn up to $2,000 in reward money for
verifiable information that leads to the PREVENTION
OF A CRIME.
Any criminal act or conspiracy to commit a criminal
act, which poses a threat to NATIONAL SECURITY, would
also be considered dependant on the nature and verifiability
of the information received. ALL CALLS ARE
KEPT CONFIDENTIAL.
Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of a person or
persons responsible for committing or planning to commit
a crime. The caller does not have to reveal his or
her identity or testify in court.
