Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police are seeking the public's help in connection with a homicide which occurred in Hempstead, New York.


On Sunday, December 23, 2001 at about 5 PM, Shawkot Grayson (photo) was standing on the corner of Bedell St. and Terrace Ave. with two unidentified men, when a shot was fired from a Mustang that had stopped across the street, Shawkot Grayson, also known as "Kott", was struck in the side and died a short time later. The two men fled the scene. The Mustang is believed to be an older model, possibly Burgundy in color.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2000 for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for this crime. All calls are anonymous.
