Property Bureau the Commanding Officer is the Property Clerk who is the custodian of all lost, stolen, abandoned, and unclaimed property or property held as evidence coming into possession of the Police Department and is accountable for all property delivered into his custody and for the safekeeping, proper disposition, and accurate record of same, except the Arson/Bomb Squad is responsible for the handling, collection, and safe storage of any lost, found, stolen, abandoned, unclaimed, and/or recovered volatile property and such volatile property required as evidence coming into the possession of a Member of the Force or Department. The Property Bureau is also responsible for the custody and destruction of departmental shields.
