Records Bureau
is responsible for the filing and maintenance of
accident and aided records; General and Special Orders
from 1925 to 1952, inclusive; and Commissioner's
Orders from January 1, 1953; processing of subpoenas;
and the maintenance of numerous Juvenile and Criminal
Records. Records Bureau is also responsible for the
operation of the messenger service and the following
Sections:
Central
Testing Section Central
Testing Section is responsible for the processing
of arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol
or drugs.
Firearms
License Section Firearms
License Section is responsible for the issuing of
firearms licenses.
Prisoner
Processing Section Prisoner
Processing Section is responsible for the processing
of prisoners and the operation of the Detention
Desk and Detention Facility.
Property Section
Property coming into possession of the Police Department, whether it be lost, stolen, abandoned, unclaimed or property held as evidence, is the responsibility of the Property Section.
